Active Chapters & Councils

Fraternity and sorority chapters at UIC must register annually as student organizations and remain compliant to institutional standards to ensure active status at the university.  Chapters are aligned together by shared core value systems and governed by elected student leadership among five governing councils, with advisement from FSL staff.  Councils provide direction, support, and measures of accountability to their member fraternity/sorority chapters and empower collaboration and visibility within the diverse UIC community.

  • This webpage is refreshed by UIC staff advisers to FSL organizations, indicating only those fraternities and sororities that are fully active as operational with rights and privileges befitting a registered student organization on campus.
  • If there is any question on the active status of a UIC fraternity or sorority, start by reviewing this listing below, then please reach out to staff in Student Center East Room 340; or 312-413-5070; or uicgreek@uic.edu. Beginning in 2019, please also refer to our cross-linked Dean of Students webpage which will publish and refresh any outcomes from organizational misconduct dating back in five-year historical intervals, inclusive of any current status.
